BROKERAGE INTERN

POSITION TYPE: Internship (Seasonal)

JOB TITLE: Brokerage Intern

LOCATION: Leawood, Kansas/Kansas City, Missouri

HOURS: Minimum of 20 hours per week, 6-week program (120 total minimum hours)

WAGE: $18/hr

POSITION DESCRIPTION: The Brokerage Program is designed to introduce young professionals to the commercial real estate industry by providing immediate learning opportunities. Range’s Brokerage Interns learn about day-to-day business functions and decision-making processes of the organization, as well as interfacing directly with our Founders on a daily basis. The Brokerage Program will develop the three major competencies necessary for a successful career in commercial real estate: real estate investing, market and financial knowledge. These essential concepts require a solid foundation knowledge in order to be successful at Range.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Attain knowledge in understanding the full spectrum of responsibilities and day-to-day tasks involved with project leasing and tenant representation

  • Provide analytical and marketing support to the transactions team

  • Assist with market surveys, land and amenity maps, competitive sets, lease abstracts, and prospect reports

  • Participate in property tours and stacking plans for properties

  • Coordinate tour packets and sales pitch materials • Assist with special projects as needed

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Interest in the commercial real estate industry

  • Interest in professional sales and marketing

  • Major: Business, Communications, Finance, Marketing (emphasis in Sales preferred), Accounting, Data Science and other related fields

  • Track record of involvement on campus, preferably in a leadership position

  • Strong interpersonal skills

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Proficient with MS Office

  • Proficient with MS Excel

  • College students entering their junior or senior year preferred, 20 completed college credit hours minimum

  • Currently enrolled in bachelor’s or master’s degree program Business, Accounting, Finance, Marketing, Data Science, or related discipline
